BLAIRE DE JONG
Blair went to Penn State University where she majored in Animal Bioscience and Dance. Addicted to school and animals, she went on to receive her Masters in Animal Behavior and Conservation at Hunter College. She studied dolphins, elephants, primates, birds, and of course cats. She loved studying cats so much, she defended a thesis about them. While in graduate school, she worked in various vet clinics around NYC and spent most of her time in the ICU, surgery, and on a mobile spay and neuter van to help TNR community cats and offer free services to underserved communities. Always loving shelter medicine, she found herself at the ASPCA for almost 10 years working on the medical and behavior teams. Her speciality is feline behavior but she loves performing physical therapy on dogs and is working towards becoming certified in canine rehabilitation. She of course, takes her work home which she shares with her pup named Pepe and her Cat named Ralph. She loves the Broadway show Cats and is still trying to audition. She will then finally be able to combine her love of dance and her love of animal behavior. Yoga and Irish fiddle are her favorite hobbies. Pepe and Ralph think otherwise.
